Two Kinds Of Engineer Prints, And They Work Differently
Shed prints. Every Premium building has one. Ask and we'll send it straight to you, free. It's stamped by a licensed engineer, it certifies the building to 150 mph wind speeds, and it spells out the blocking and anchoring schedule your setup has to follow. Take it to the permit office, hand it to your insurance company, keep it in a drawer. It's yours.
Residential and tiny home shell prints. These are the real thing: residential structural prints, stamped by a licensed engineer in your state. They're free on request, and we send them directly to your local permitting office. You give your dealer the name and contact information for your county permit office and we handle it from there. These prints don't come to you, they go where they need to go.
Not many shed companies have residential prints at all. We do, and we'll put them in front of your inspector at no charge.
Why We Use Engineered Wood Flooring
A shed floor takes more abuse than almost any floor in your life. Point loads from a mower, a jack stand, a safe. Moisture coming up off the ground. Then the whole building gets picked up and hauled down a highway before you ever see it.
Engineered wood panels are built for that. They're made from strands of wood pressed and bonded so the panel carries load evenly across its whole face instead of splitting along a grain line like a solid board does. In pounds per square foot, a 5/8" engineered panel outperforms pressure-treated flooring of the same thickness by a wide margin, and it stays flat.
Every Speedy Sheds building gets a 5/8" engineered floor. Our Premium Series steps it up to Huber PerformMAX, which is rated at 206 pounds per square foot on 16-inch joist spacing and carries a 25-year manufacturer warranty. That's a commercially rated floor in a backyard building.
The framing underneath is the other half of it: 4x6 pressure-treated runners with the joists notched into them, 2x6 pressure-treated joists at 16 inches on center, and 4-inch Simpson hurricane screws at every joist connection. Want it tighter? Twelve inches on center is available as an upgrade on any building we make.
Three Roof Styles.
20 Models.
The gambrel roofline covers nine models, and every one of them except the Mini Barn comes with loft space overhead. The A-frame roofline covers nine models, from the plain Utility all the way up to the Cottage. Two single-slope models round it out: the Modern Shed and the Little Speedy. Seventeen Premium models across three rooflines, plus two Select models and the Little Speedy. Custom sizes, colors, windows, doors and options on every build.
Barn / Gambrel
Classic barn-style gambrel roof with built-in loft for extra storage. Our most popular style, with maximum interior space.

Utility / A-Frame

She Shed
Studios, home offices, pool houses and backyard retreats. Custom windows, French doors, insulation, flooring and interior finishes available.

Tiny Home Shells
A Premium building framed to residential structural spec and delivered as a finished shell. Residential prints stamped by a licensed engineer, free, sent directly to your permit office in NC, SC, VA and GA. You finish the inside.

Pavilion
Screened A-Frame outdoor rooms with LP SmartSide siding, composite decking and a screened door. Metal or shingle roof. 8x10 to 12x24.

Gazebo
Alpine gazebos in multiple colors and finishes. RTO available with no credit check, same terms as our shed line.

Dog Kennel
Durable dog kennel structures with LP SmartSide siding and real lumber framing. Built on our Select Series spec to keep the price right. Run and partition layouts available. RTO available with no credit check.
Building For An HOA
HOA boards care about siding, color, roof, height and square footage. We build custom, so most of what a board asks for is something we can just build.
Vinyl siding. Available on any Premium building in place of our standard LP SmartSide. Dutch Lap is the standard style and Traditional Lap is available. If your board wants the building to match the house, we can match most existing siding types. Vinyl is an upgrade, so it does add to the price.
Shingles instead of metal. Architectural shingles in three colors are available on Premium builds.
Any color you want. Twenty standard paint colors, six semi-transparent stains, and custom paint in any PPG code for a small upcharge.
Shorter walls. If your covenants cap height, we can build to a lower wall height.
Smaller and custom sizes. Plenty of neighborhoods put a square-footage limit on an accessory building. We can build to a footprint that fits under it.
Print the architectural page of your covenants, or the request form your board hands out, and bring it to your dealer. We'll build to what it says. The approval itself is your board's call, so get their sign-off in writing before you order.
Measure Before You Plan The Inside
Our exterior dimensions are true - a 10x12 is 10 feet by 12 feet, measured overhang to overhang. The inside is smaller than that. The roof overhang, the wall framing and the siding all take their cut, and the wider the building, the more they take. That's true at every shed dealer, ours included.
If you're finishing the inside as an office, a studio or a shop, get the interior measurement from your salesperson before you buy cabinets, order flooring or draw a layout. It's a quick number for us to give you and it's the number your project actually runs on.
Options On
Every Build
Our Premium Series offers extensive customization across doors, windows, colors, roofing, electrical, siding and interior finishes. Select Series includes core options at a lower price point. See Select vs Premium above for what's included on each.
Pick Your Colors
Everything below is on the menu. Standard colors are included in the price. Upgrade colors cost a little more - your salesperson will show you the difference when you quote. Design your own combination in the 3D design center.
Paint (PPG) - Standard
African Gray, Anchors Aweigh, Aquastone, Bluebell, Copper Pot, Endless Sea, Evergreens, Frank Blue, French Roast, Homburg Gray, Monorail Silver, Positive Red, Pure White, Quiver Tan, Renwick Olive, Roycroft Bottle Green, Sand Beach, Smokey Beige, Stolen Kiss, Tricorn Black. Custom color matching is available in any PPG code as an upgrade, which is how we match a shed to your house.
Semi-Transparent Urethane Stain - Upgrade
Cedar, Chestnut, Driftwood, Ebony, Honey Gold, Mahogany. Stain is a urethane finish that lets the wood grain show through instead of covering it.
Metal Roof - Standard
Black, Burnished Slate, Crimson Red, Galvalume / Acrylic, Ivy Green, Old Town Gray, Polar White.
Metal Roof - Upgrade
Ash Gray, Berry, Charcoal, Copper Penny, Gallery Blue, Hawaiian Blue, Koko Brown, Light Stone, Rustic Red, Sahara Tan.
Shingles - Timberline Architectural
Barkwood, Charcoal, Weatherwood. Shingles are included on barn and A-Frame roofs at no upcharge. On a single-slope roof - the Modern Shed, Modern Studio and Little Speedy - shingles are an upgrade, because a low-pitch roof has to be double-felted and wrapped for the haul. Shingles aren't available on the Select Series, which is a metal roof build.
